The world is not Flat
There are some preaching
that the world is flat and that China can do all the manufacturing for us, that
the world is too inter-related for war.
That is so foolish that it is questionable why this foolishness was ever
written, much less accepted. The reason
is probably that the right answer is too frightening, there is comfort in
coming up with a meaning that ignores danger that substitutes empty hope for
common sense that means that no one has to sacrifice, that the status quo can
stay there forever. It is better to say
the world is flat, than to admit that we were at war and had to make
uncomfortable decisions. Now, as a
result, we have to make desperate decisions.
