What would you do with the best thing
would you lock it away
would you put it on display
would you save it for a rainy day
who would you hire to protect it
is it possible to make it yours
because the very best thing
would not be owned, it would own you

How do you know the best thing
do you have to compare it to everything
Not just to one thing, to everything
Or is it something you know
without asking, without thinking
And if you had the best thing
the best thing that there was
would it be worth everything else
to be owned, enslaved by it
and if it wasn't would it be the best

How do you set it free
how do you set yourself free
and still hold onto it
and if you cannot hold it
be happy knowing that you can't
some questions are better off
never having been asked
you should never want answered
for there is no true freedom
