Emigrant rant

Someone posed this question on facebook
"We are 21 trillion dollars in debt (in the USA) which we'll probably never pay back, so how can we justify paying immigrants money to live here when they come here illegally?"
I want to answer that question.
Debt is an imaginary obligation.  It's important, I feel like that imaginary USA, but its more of a fiction than most of reality.  The USA can walk away from it any time we want.  It would hurt a lot of people financially and wreck the financial system for a while, but its a lot of data on computer screens in the final analysis.  The writer is correct, that the only way to wipe it out is with painful, massive inflation.  If it happens, it won't be the first time, probably not the last.
The more important point is that if the Indians had treated the ancestors of the idiot who posted that question the same way, they would have died.  Likewise if the poster came later, he's no more entitled than the emigrants.  That doesn't mean I like all the emigrants and the terrorist or two that come in are no worse than the home grown terrorists and no worse than the native non-indian settlers who treated the indians like shit when we were the terrorists.
We have plenty of problems, but one thing about the USA, its a country of emigrants and when we stop being that we've lost our identity.  Doesn't mean we all have to be stupid about it, but we're so stupid about everything else, loose immigration is the least of our problems.
So, my answer begins, the least we can do is treat others fairly.  If someone washes up on the beach, you feed them, give them something to wear and take them into your home.  Its just what people do.
This is true times a billion for the dreamers and all the assholes who want to send them back are as dumb as they are heartless.  If you bring a child under the age of 9 into a country and raise him/her there,that is the country where that child is from as much as anyone else who was born here, like it or not.  I got to ask myself if these are the same idiots who would not share their meal with a starving child who sat next to them.
What is wrong with everyone else in this godforsaken country?
