So what is the hypothesis and purpose that I am supposed to start with?
Do I go back to 2012 and talk about where EHT started? That seems like a dead end.
The EHT hypothesis was, to some extent, that space was the same as everything else. Back then I thought space had mass, but I now know that mass results from ct1 (space) folding to ct2 and that the unfolding is a sort of anti-mass. It is not, however a terrible place to start.
The purpose is a little more complicated.
Was the purpose to reach out to you? Deal with a broken heart? That hardley seems like what they are talking about in terms of a physics presentation. The purpose was to be some sort of drama queen? That certainly applies somewhat in retrospect.
I suppose the alternative is to jump ahead, but to when?
There are the three (or four) cardinal compass points; time and change are different, dimensions are sequential exponential compression, all dimensions exist together, space is the first dimension, space is a type of building information unit based on the denominator of pi. I could go to the next one, that space, being build from -1 and count and memory must be a continuation of some other form of pre-dimensional (I don't want to get too technical) "stuff."
Those are not really hypothesis, however, they are results. But in terms of the final paper and the ongoing work, these are in the abstract and they have become the hypothesis.
I suppose some combination of these is in order.
The resulting purpose is easier:
I began this as an investigation of space to determine what role it played in the mass of the universe. That is written a lot more clearly that I could have written in 6 years ago. The purpose was to reconcile some of einsteins work on time and hologram theory. That is pretty accurate.

These equations give rise to
dimensions from zero (space) to 5, but we only directly observe 4 which are the
x,y and z coordinates and black holes.
These dimensions exist together, space appears 3 dimensional only
because it is so folded around the higher compression states. In fact, space being separated only by
solution order is too dense to move through, instead space pushes everything
else around or mixes with it.
