Humans as sheep-triggers revisited after the government shutdown and the ongoing war with china and the internet

One of the problems with quantum movement of political, economic and military situations is the existence of triggers.
When those are pulled makes a difference in how any event, any disaster plays out.
You can never tell what is going to be a trigger, a blog (the Arab spring was brought about by facebook), a book (Stowe may not have started the civil war, but she galvanized the country).  What about desirable  available at moftheg.com are designed to be triggers, although when and if they will be effective remains to be seen. Uncle Tom's Cabin is evidence that a book can act as a trigger.
Facebook showed where a "system" could trigger political change.
Isolated events can be triggers for the change of history. The battle of thermopole was a timing trigger, the assassination of arch duke Ferdinand was an initiating trigger.
The war with china was triggered by many things.  One trigger was the opening of china by Nixon. The weakening of the US under Johnson who initiated the big society and the expansion of the US military to increasingly substitute military might for economic might.  The consolidation of sales in big box stores initially, and to an even greater extent by the internet allowed for the exportation of cost.  Weaponizing the Chinese economy by keeping prices artificially low and controlling importation of competing products was a country controlling their triggers.  They are creating their own triggers.
The Chinese weaponized economy led the way to two far reaching problems. It created a government supported political block and it provided an alternative to minimal wage and piecemeal work which was not only viable but in some ways superior, such as providing free or heavily subsidized health care, housing and food and opening income opportunities in the black market by paying people to have hidden income streams, essentially supplementing criminal income undertakings like gangs, drugs, and the like since those people could work and be paid by the government only for un-reported income.
In addition, this created an opposite group that made a fortune giving away the jobs of the manufacturers in the USA and they want to maintain this economic situation because they cannot see the long term results or they are too busy making a fortune to care.
These two blocks require a lot of pandering to; this leads to a congress which, to keep their safe jobs in the face of an economy collapsing from the center out, doesn't think of anything past pandering to get to the next election.  Worse still, the longer lifespans today has allowed this type of congress to stagnate.
The war, when it is recognized, must include making difficult choices which will effect this vulnerable block and the shift which will be necessary to create work but also opportunity for this artificial voting block.  If it isn't too late, what is required to motivate a public that has individual intelligence, but moves in a group like sheep.
Understanding these triggers is something that we can be sure our enemies will concentrate on.  They already know that people are sheep for cheap prices, politicians in particular; without regard for long term consequences (e.g. eviscerating our ability to compete economically or militarily).  We need term limits and a new focus on the effects of legislation in order to learn how to deal with human sheep syndrome triggers.
How is that for irrigated?
