To one warrior princess from another

Since it is Friday night, I've decided to share a poem from someone who sacrificed everything for something she believed in...and who was a pretty fair poet too.

Blessed is the match consumed in kindling the flame.
Blessed is the flame that burns in the secret places of the heart.
Blessed is the heart with strength to stop its beating for honor's sake
Blessed is the match consumed in kindling flame.

Hannah Senesh (1921-1944)

I wish I had written this.  It is both a love poem poem and what it actually was.  According to the story, this was the last thing that Hannah wrote before parachuting into Hungary to fight the Nazis.

If you think about it in context, you see it is about courage and if you take it out of context, blessed is the match (two people together) in the kindling flame (love).

We all fight battles for what we believe in; but it is important not to give up to easily and not to lose confidence in life, even if our confidence in each other sometimes waivers.
