i want to feel sorry for you
but i'm feeling sorry for myself
when i go to the grocery
and think how hard it is
to buy things just for one
but then i remember
people who buy for many
but never have enough for any
and i know you need help
because we all need help
but some don't get any help
and some can't find love
and some in love
cannot find their lover
and if you are not given
whatever it is you need
you are strong enough
unlike most others
to get it for yourself
and so i worry
and i feel sorry
and i am inadequate
and lonely and sad
as is anyone who rejects love
and doesn't do enough
to help those who sleep in the dust
