NLT the next step Part 16-Paradox 4 Consciousness

I hope you are enjoying the new, dryer version of the Non-Linear Time Presentation.  This morning we have gotten to page 11 or roughly 1/3 of the way through.  There are long sections that follow the general presentation, 100 pages of unedited notes (many of which can be found at prior posts) and 100(s) plural of pages of math and math articles that have to be reconciled which will ensure that this undertaking outlasts me.

When you wake up at 5:00 every day, the summers are longer.  The light of day is present without the sun.  Paminedes would have experienced this.  While flames kept night at bay, the ancients would have experienced mornings quite differently than us and the nights would have generally ended earlier.  I enjoy going into the wilderness (for only a couple of days at a time) the time around a fire when I can really get back to my roots, not just my recent ancestors, but those that would have been around at the time that Zeno's paradox were written.  In the wilderness, the night is alive.  In your dark camp you appreciate the importance of a dog that barks when a stranger or strange thing approaches, the half wild that remains in the dog aware of the darkness as we are not.  

In a camp, far from and free of electricity you wake in the morning and find a place which is beautiful and drink whatever you have in the morning, today it is coffee, back then it would have been water, perhaps a type of tea, perhaps from some bark.  You have time, because all of the time eaters of the modern world are too far away to steal it from you.  You can write in a note book, think deep thoughts, understand whoever you are with or if you you are with no one, you can look at yourself.

Even thought I am quite a ways from the coastline, perhaps 20 miles further away than Elea, this early you can see sea gulls flying from the coast to the inland lakes for the morning.  You would not generally see that later in the day when it is too hot for that type of long flight.  Well this morning it was a single gull, alone, perhaps hoping to find something in the distance, a couple of hours away, that would make the day worth living.

Enough of that, right?  We at one of my favorite parts of NLT, the Paradox of thought and it is time to finish and be done with the poetry of Parmenides and the section on Paradox.

The narrower circles are filled with unmixed fire, and those
surrounding them with night, and in the midst of these rushes
their portion of fire. In the midst of these circles is the divinity that directs
the course of all things; for she rules over all painful birth and all begetting,

driving the female to the embrace of the male, and the male to that of the female.
First of all the gods she contrived Eros.
Shining by night with borrowed light, wandering round the earth.
Always straining her eyes to the beams of the sun.
On the right boys; on the left girls.

Thus, according to men’s opinions, did things come into
being, and thus they are now. In time (they think) they will
grow up and pass away. To each of these things men have
assigned a fixed name.Parminedes, 500 b.c. (more or less)

PARADOX 4: Consciousness to determine that predestination exists.  An extreme example of how NLT could be relevant is the idea that the concentration of linear thought into an infinitely dense spot (all thoughts necessarily happen at once and without separation in non-linear time).  While this might be scoffed at as an attempt to introduce a spiritual element into a scientific undertaking, the practical aspects of this would support predestination and might be a well from which knowledge could be lifted.

A NLT universe with non-linear time containing all human (and non-human) thought concentrated without separation and time would also have no ability to be aware of the thought because clock time, especially SCT, is non-linear.  While this appears philosophical, it is critical to try to understand what is possible at different stages of the process since one suggests “background awareness” (non-linear awareness) the other suggests that the background is unaware (only linear time allows for awareness).

There are multiple explanations for this.  The one which seems most likely also gives rise to much potential for understanding if not manipulating the universe of linear time and this is the idea that all intelligence (like everything else) is concentrated without time or dimension (no separation) at the singularity where non-linear time exists.  If you couple this with the origin suggested for a single point generating the entire universe (suggesting the origin of quantum, discreteness for the linear universe) then intelligence is defined by the same infinities that everything else in the universe has since even a finite amount of intelligence concentrated with zero time separation and zero spatial separation approaches infinite intelligence.
