Government gone mad: Domestic spying-even snowden has it wrong

Everyone is excited about domestic and partner spying.  In CWE and prior blogs I cover this topic, but it's time to address this topic again.
Even Snowden has this one wrong.  As you may recall, much of the NSA related hand wringing over this topic dates from Snowden's telling the public something they already knew.  This idea of government over-reaching was covered in amazingly clear detail in "The President's Analyst", a movie perhaps 40 years ahead of its time.  That movie is being redone as a history of Snowden today as opposed to the work of comic-fiction that it was when it was first made.  Aside from disclosing this type of spying, it also contained the famous quote "Every year the US gets more like Russian and Russians get more like the US so one day they'll meet in the middle."
In The president's analyst, the enemy ended up being AT&T, the company that carried the phone lines and built the phones.  Who is the right enemy to be concerned with today.  Clearly the government in general and NSA in particular need to be considered.  Unfortunately, they are too incompetent to be a serious threat to anyone but themselves and that problem needs to be solved with Term Limits as set out herein (terms equal to the average of the first 25 congresses; no seeking money while in term, etc-see CWE).  The real enemy today is the company making the equipment and that is China.
But it's sunny, in Sunday and we can deal with the problems of the world in more detail next week.
