The beginning of the end of the us military-China's weaponized economy

It is not the shrinking of the army that I protest, it is the reason behind it.  I did, after all predict this several years back in both China's Weaponized economy and in World War C.  Instead it is the reason for the dismantlement of our army which is both predictable and inevitable I fear.  The reasons are twofold.
The first is alluded to by Dick Cheny.  http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/02/25/dick-cheney-obama_n_4853523.html.  He incorrectly identifies this as a food for guns program which it is and is not.  It is instead about corrupt politicians pondering to special interest, Obama has his, and Cheny another.  This is the disease which has destroyed our system and which I have developed at least some minor treatment for in China's Weaponized Economy, the second edition of which may never be written due to the many requirements of my time.  Whether it is the Chinese or someone else, my scientific inquiries are important if we are to save either (an unlikely scenario even over the short term, but the only optimistic one).
And what are the chances that short term, medium term and long term consequences were considered as compared to the immediate political expediency of the actions?  If you said anything other than zero, then I applaud your optimism.
But that is only one of two.  The second is that we have outsourced our economy and cannot continue to maintain our military.  This unfortunate spiral means that we will be giving up the last part of the economy which supports what little technology and cutting edge manufacturing we retained.  In other words, it is the complete capitulation economically to China's weaponized economy.  Congratulations comrades!
